If you are a cartoonist and need help coming up with gags,
you may want to consider working with one of these gagwriters. Or, if you are a gagwriter
you may want to submit ideas to the cartoonists listed here. If you'd like to be listed on this
page as a gagwriter or a cartoonist, just send me an email along with your contact information
and details about what you need. The posting is free.
Under the typical gagwriter/cartoonist arrangement the gagwriter submits ideas to the cartoonist
who holds ones he wants to try. The cartoonist then draws up the cartoon and submits it. If he sells
it he keeps 75 percent of the check, and pays the gagwriter the other 25 percent. Sometimes, in order
to save bookwork, the cartoonist may prefer to pay a lump sum cash payment for the use of the gag.

cartoonist and I make cartoons for Danish magazines. I would like to try to sell my cartoons in the
U.S. and need a way to do this. I am looking for someone to represent me in the U.S. against a
percentage of the sale of my cartoons. The agreement would consist of review and correction of
texts in English, distribution of cartoons to magazines, receiving payment for the cartoons. If
